We haven’t always done it that way. „Schalker Kreisel“-style football is literally the opposite of „Malochen“ on the pitch.
Also there are values that shouldn’t be changing, but should remain a corner stone of the club. For example a firm stand against racism and discrimination. (If the club still stands by those, is to be seen - sadly - when the Tönnies decision will be made.)
And „bowing down to Ultras“ isn’t a sign of insecurity, but of listening to the most important stakeholders - the active supporters - and later on finding solutions in a democratic manner, involving all (willing) club members - via election of the supervisory board and the members of the internal court („Ehrenrat“) and setting or changing of the club charter. It isn’t the fastest or most efficient way and I often don’t like all the results, but that’s democracy…
Not that RaBa would know of democratic participation of ordenary members. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
